Dan Mozer just wanted to get some nice maternity photos of his pregnant wife. The two headed down to Atlantic Beach near Jacksonville, Fla. for some photos. Using the ocean as a backdrop, Mozer had his wife, Angeline, pose.
As he took the picture of his smiling wife, a dolphin leaped up out of the water before descending back into the sea. Mozer said he knew dolphins were in the area, so their inclusion in the shot wasn’t as lucky as it looks on the photo.
This was what was captured:
“Someone started yelling to us that there were dolphins, and we could see their dorsal fins,” Dan Mozer, 30, told Yahoo Parenting. “It really wasn’t random. We saw their fins and I was waiting for them. I had set my camera on ‘burst,’ so there’s a series of three."
Mozer credits his then unborn son Courtland for the lucky dolphin shot. He told Yahoo Parenting that Courtland must have been “summoning the dolphins” from the womb. Courtland was due on Jan. 27.
