Flush your colon and relieve pressure using a 5,000-year-old stimulation technique

The Sea of Energy — this phrase conjures the salty taste of the ocean air and the image of billowing sails ... not to mention scurvy and seasickness.
The Sea of Energy is actually a pressure point located between the naval and pubic bone that, when stimulated, purportedly helps with maladies that are caused by a weakened immune system and digestive issues.

In the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practice of acupressure, the Sea of Energy is one of the most powerful pressure points. It is located in the pelvic area in what is known in TCM as the Sacral Chakra. According to an article in the journal Medical Acupuncture, chakras are nodes located throughout the body in which energy resonates. These chakras function as pressure points, and when stimulated (with a finger in acupressure or needle in acupuncture), activate the flow of energy.
Pushing on the Sea of Energy (also known as Conception Vessel 6, CV6, or Hara) is said to strengthen the digestive, immune and reproductive systems, according to Michael Reed Gach, Ph.D., on his blog, Acupressure Points. Gach says this simple action has the power to relieve constipation, gas, abdominal cramping, irritable bowel syndrome and menstrual cramps.
So how do you do it?
Place the forefinger, middle finger and ring finger of one hand along the line below the navel. Press gently until you feel a small, firm spot. Press into the acupressure point, breathing deeply. Acupressure Wellness recommends trying both this method and one in which you use the palm of your hand to apply gentle pressure. The Sea of Energy can be activated while standing, lying or sitting with a straight back and feet flat on the floor.
Gach says activating the Sea of Energy is also helpful for increasing intimacy and pleasure during sex. It can also help people who struggle with self-abuse and dependency issues to develop greater emotional stability.
