Eyes are the window to one's soul, . . . or so they say. Do you ever feel like your "windows" are grimy and cloudy and the "window sills" are baggy and dark? The busyness of life and struggles of health can cause your eyes to get dry and circles to form.
Wouldn't it be nice if there was a way to make your "windows" bright once again, the trimmings gorgeous like they used to be? You can't turn back the clock, but these 7 home remedies may help restore some of what you once had.

1. Cold compress. One of the easiest remedies is using a cold compress. Reader’s Digest recommends using a spoon that's been chilled in the refrigerator for a little bit. You can also take a cloth and soak it in cool water.
2. Aloe vera juice. Another recommendation by Reader’s Digest is mixing aloe vera juice and water together to form an eye wash. Aloe Vera Gel makes a wash by combining 1/2 cup aloe vera juice and 2 cups cooled chamomile tea.
3. Cucumber slices. If your eyes are puffy and sore, the Huffington Post recommends using cucumber slices to help soothe them. The coolness of the cucumber reduces the size of the blood vessels, helping to lighten the darkness of the circles and reduce the bags.
4. Water. As strange as it may seem, if you're suffering from dry eyes, Healthline recommends drinking extra water. Medications you take or seasonal allergies can cause your eyes to dry out, making them feel rough and scratchy. Extra water helps to hydrate not just your skin, but your eyes as well.
6. Tea bags. Not only is tea good for you to drink, but WebMD shares that the tea bags can be good for your eye as well. The tannin in the tea helps with inflammation. The tea bag can double as a cold compress by putting them in the refrigerator to chill. Place these on your eyes to help reduce puffiness and possibly, dark circles.
7. Rosewater. According to Reader’s Digest, rosewater can be used as an eye rinse if you're fighting with dry, scratchy eyes; or you can use it straight as eye drops. For dark circles, Stylecraze recommends spraying a mixture of rosewater and cold milk on a cotton ball and applying it under your eyes. Leave it for 10 minutes. Do this three to four times a week.
